Con Edison’s curator Leon Nicholas Kalas, in his quest to continue exhibiting talented emerging Brooklyn artists at the Con Edison’s Exhibiting Space, has discovered Fedrecia Hartley, a native of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

Fedrecia’s bold creative works are done in a mixed media and acrylic that often addresses the complexity of the urban landscape. Her recent works being exhibited in this show is a mixed media series of Urban Flowers done in rich colors capturing the everyday beauty and strength that can be found in the city.

Fedrecia has studied at New York University, and received an MA in Studio Art. She has been exhibited at various art exhibitions, including The Brooklyn Public Library- Macon Branch, Fulton Art Fair, Skylight Gallery, the African American Museum in Hempstead, LI and the prestigious Salmagundi Art Club in New York City. Federecia is the Director of Zion Gallery and President and Co-founder of the Bedford-Stuyvesant Artists’ Association (BeSAA).
